The Illustrator

Darlien Morales is a Puerto Rican illustrator specialized in abstract concepts. Her intrinsic perceptions of color and shape manipulation often showcases topics of adventure, cultural exploration, human desire, and environmental preservation. Her illustrations have made it to book covers and crowd funding campaigns. Darlien has been invited to several colleges including her alma matter, Savannah College of Art and Design (2015), to present and discuss her artistic discoveries. As a recipient of the Artistic Scholarship, for her illustrative portfolio, Darlien was inspired to donate artworks to SCAD’s Scholarship Gala and Silent Auction as a mean to raise funds for emerging artists. Her works have been commissioned by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services, writers selling on Amazon, among others. Darlien is currently developing a series of illustrations for a a young adult self-help book that will release in 2024.

Darlien’s cover art is simply dazzling. And I sometimes wonder if people are buying the book to simply frame the cover.
